All Hymn Sunday - Oct 30

Although we at New Hope have sung a hymn or two during our Sunday worship services in the past, I don't recall us ever having a Sunday like this Sunday when we sang nothing but hymns. Considering our usual contemporary worship style it was a truly atypical service, but a great time of worship none the less. And I'm sure those from a more traditional church background appreciated it. Give it a listen below, but please be gracious, we were a little rusty. :-)

A blog by any other name . . .

At first I was going to call our new blog, HopeBlog, following the pattern we already set with our website, HopePage. But HopeBlog just didn't sound right, and it didn't exactly roll off the tongue easily. For example, try saying HopeBlog five times real fast. See!

So I decided to try something different that still worked with our name. Without much thought or trying I came up with ComBlog with Com being short for Community. It sounded much better and actually made more sense; the Community Blog of New Hope. Or it could also stand for Communication Blog, for it will be used to help our Communication Team (i.e., me) pass various types of info along as well as giving our Community the chance to Communicate their feedback by adding their comments.

New Blog for New Hope!

After looking at some options for easy posting of New Hope events, photos, sermons and other interesting stuff, I thought I would give a blog a try. Guess we'll find out together how well this works. Here's hopin' . . .
